Shandong leads the country in agriculture as it generates approximately 1/10 of China's agricultural output, 1/6 of its output value of the agricultural processing industry, and a quarter of its agricultural exports. Shandong has continued to improve the market influence of the brand-building campaign: A Captivating Land with Popular Agricultural Brands. A large number of widely recognized regional brands and famous business brands for agricultural products have been fostered. Agricultural products have been exported to over 160 countries and regions. Shandong has been the largest province in China by agricultural imports and exports for the past 2 decades. In 2018, the figure reached 213.41 billion RMB yuan with exports standing at 115.03 billion RMB yuan, making it the first province in China to export more than 100 billion RMB yuan of agricultural products.
