The Foreign Affairs Office of the People's Government of Shandong Province is a component department of the provincial government, and the executing agency of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee. It supervises the province's implementation of national foreign policies and handling of important foreign affairs. The office comprises of the following divisions: Secretariat of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, Comprehensive Affairs Division, Personnel Division, Party-related Affairs Division, Publicity and Research Division, Official Overseas Visits Management Division, Foreign-related Affairs Management Division (Consular Protection Division), Asian Affairs Division, European and African Affairs Division, American and Oceanian Affairs Division, Protocol Division, and Passports and Visas Division. Public institutions under the office include Secretariat of Shandong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Foreign Affairs Service Center, Translation and Interpretation Center, and Permits and Passports-Making Center.
