Li Ganjie Meets with Norway’s Ambassador to China

On the morning of June 4th, Li Ganjie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Acting Governor of Shandong Province, met with Signe Brudeset, Norway’s Ambassador to China, and her delegation in Jinan.

Li Ganjie welcomed his guests and briefed them on Shandong’s economic and social development. He said Shandong is promoting pandemic containment and economic and social development, avoiding a resurgence of the pandemic, maintaining stability in 6 aspects, implementing protections in 6 key areas, stimulating consumption, strengthening investment and stabilizing foreign trade and investment. Thanks to such efforts, Shandong is seeing constant progress in pandemic containment and work and social order resumption. Despite the impact and challenge of COVID-19 on world trade and economy, it has offered new opportunities for furthering international exchanges and cooperation. Shandong enjoys a solid foundation and bright prospect of cooperation with Norway and hopes both sides could use the opportunities to strengthen intergovernmental exchanges, deepen economic and trade ties, expand mutual investment and enhance exchanges in such areas as maritime fisheries, environmental protection, petrochemical industry and scientific and technological innovation, so as to bring the cooperation to new heights.

Signe Brudeset spoke highly of the achievements in the exchanges and cooperation between Shandong and Norway and said she will make greater contribution to the pragmatic cooperation in marine industry, environmental protection, economy, trade and other fields.
