On December 12, Li Yongsen, Deputy Director-General of Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government, met with Douglas Brodie, Associate Principal of University of Strathclyde, and Lin Fan, Deputy Director of Confucius Institute for Scotland’s Schools, and their delegation in Jinan.
Li Yongsen extended welcome to the guests and briefed them on the latest economic and social developments in Shandong and hoped that University of Strathclyde can fully tap into its academic advantages to work with Shandong in areas such as engineering, medical care, new energies, environmental protection, education and trainings. He also offered some suggestions about the plan for the Scotland-Shandong Innovation Center.
Mr. Brodie introduced University of Strathclyde and the progress they've made with the implementation of the plan and said they were willing to contribute to the cooperation between Scottish governments, universities, and chambers of commerce and Shandong in multiple areas.
