On the afternoon of November 4, Ren Airong, Vice Governor of Shandong, met with Asa Hutchinson, Governor of Arkansas of the US, and his delegation in Jining.

Ren Airong extended warm welcome to Mr. Governor and his delegation, and briefed the delegation on the latest economic and social development of our province. She pointed out that Shandong highly values the multi-layered practical cooperation with Arkansas, and hopes the two sides can continue to strengthen intergovernmental exchanges at the local level, promote business and investment cooperation, and encourage people-to-people exchanges, so as to achieve win-win development. Governor Hutchinson expressed gratitude for the warm reception from Shandong and said Arkansas values its relations with Shandong and hopes to conduct cooperation in areas including economy, trade and people-to-people exchanges.

Officials from Shandong Provincial Department of Commerce and Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government also attended the meeting.
